Beijing Daxing Airport Terminal

Beijing Daxing Airport Terminal is known as "Starfish" given its shape, having an hexagon-shaped futuristic design. 

It is the second-largest single building airport concourse in the world, equipped with four runways and more than 80 boarding gates, and expected to host 72 million passengers by 2025 and 100 million passengers by 2040. Some of the international destinations are world major cities such as New York, London, Seattle, Seoul, Paris and Tokyo. 

Beijing Daxing Airport facilities are split into the Northern Part, which hosts hotels, and the Southern Part, which is close to the Terminal and is aimed for business and office procedures. 

Present & future

Beijing Daxing Airport will have in the future seven runways to be able to host the expected 100 million passengers by 2040. 

It is also planned to build a second terminal when the annual passenger figures will surpass 100 million passengers. 

Inter-airport Train

Inter-airport trains connect several areas of the terminal. 

Levels

Beijing Daxing Airport Terminal has five concourses connected to both Main Hall and Ground Transportation Centre. In each concourse there is an outdoor traditional Chinese garden to explore while waiting for boarding.

The Main Hall has four levels:

Basement Level 2

Underground Transportation Center (Train and Subway stations). 

Basement Level 1

Underground Transportation Center (Train and Subway stations). 

First Level

International Arrivals. 

Second Level

Domestic Arrivals. 

Third Level

Domestic Departures. 

Fourth Level

International Departures. 

The Terminal counts with latest technology procedures such as self-check-in and self-baggage check-in.
